Our ER70S-6 wire features optimized levels of Silicon (Si) and Manganese (Mn), which act as strong deoxidizers. This prevents porosity, minimizes spatter, and creates clean, flat weld beads even when welding on light mill scale, rust, or oils.
Engineered for automated robotic lines, our MIG wires undergo micro-polishing post-drawing. This eliminates micro-shavings that clog liners, ensuring stable arc ignition and smooth wire feeding up to speeds of 25 meters per minute.
Using a unique chemical plating formulation, we apply a ultra-thin, highly adherent copper coating (typically 0.15% - 0.20% by weight). This prevents copper flaking, minimizes tip wear, and maximizes electrical conductivity.

For optimal mechanical performance and clean bead wetting, ER70S-6 solid wire should be paired with a shielding gas consisting of 75% to 85% Argon mixed with carbon dioxide (CO2). Using pure 100% CO2 remains a viable cost-effective option for structural applications, although it will yield higher spatter rates and structural reinforcement levels.
