Established in 2004 in Wulian, Rizhao City, Shandong Province, Wulian Yuxin Hardware Equipment Co., Ltd. has developed from a pioneering regional workshop into a globally respected developer and volume manufacturer of high-end welding consumables. Our purpose-built 15,000-square-meter facility features automated high-precision drawing lines, hydrogen annealing furnaces, and advanced straightening units. We exercise absolute oversight across our supply chain, ensuring that every batch of wire meets the strictest requirements of international welding standards.
Over nearly two decades of sustainable growth, our technical teams have integrated traditional metallurgy with modernized precision, keeping carbon content and impurity indices well below standard maximums. Whether supporting structural infrastructure in Germany or equipment assembly lines in Vietnam, Wulian Yuxin works to provide consistent weld beads, puddle stability, and corrosion-resistant joint performances.
Understanding chemical composition and microstructures for high-integrity joints
304 stainless steel is the standard alloy in modern processing, structural, and sanitary piping systems. When executing Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW / TIG) on 304 stainless steel, matching the filler metal to the base metal is critical for long-term corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. Typically, ER308 or its low-carbon variant ER308L is selected as the optimal welding rod. Wulian Yuxin manufactures ER308L TIG rods under strict chemistry controls to maintain high performance in demanding applications.
| AWS A5.9 Specification | C (%) | Mn (%) | Si (%) | Cr (%) | Ni (%) | P (%) | S (%) | Cu (%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ER308L Standard Requirement | ≤ 0.030 | 1.00 - 2.50 | 0.30 - 0.65 | 19.50 - 22.00 | 9.00 - 11.00 | ≤ 0.030 | ≤ 0.030 | ≤ 0.75 |
| Wulian Yuxin ER308L Typical Analysis | 0.015 - 0.022 | 1.60 - 1.85 | 0.38 - 0.45 | 20.10 - 20.60 | 9.60 - 10.20 | 0.018 | 0.008 | 0.12 |
Reducing carbon content below 0.03% prevents carbide precipitation at the grain boundaries during exposure to temperatures between 800°F and 1500°F (427°C - 816°C). This allows the weldment to resist intergranular corrosion without needing post-weld annealing.
Our raw materials are processed to provide a weld metal Ferrite Number between 4 and 10. This amount of ferrite reduces the risk of hot cracking during solidification while maintaining low-temperature impact toughness.
Maintaining high chromium (20%+) and nickel (9.8%+) reserves allows for element recovery in the arc. Using pure argon shielding (99.999% purity) helps ensure clean, oxide-free weld deposits with a bright metallic appearance.
How Wulian Yuxin combines process control with industrial scale
The global steel consumables supply chain relies on consistent production systems. Shandong Province, China, serves as an industrial hub for high-grade wire rod production and wire drawing technologies. Choosing Wulian Yuxin as your dedicated factory partner provides several production advantages:
Reliable joint integrity for modern industrial and sanitary engineering
304 stainless steel TIG welding rods are used in applications requiring clean finishes and corrosion resistance. Below are the primary industrial sectors that rely on our ER308L and ER316L TIG rods:
Sanitary piping requires smooth weld roots to prevent product buildup and bacterial growth. Our TIG rods deliver a fluid puddle that supports smooth root passes and high-quality joints under inert gas back-purging.
TIG welding is used for tube-to-tubesheet joints in heat exchangers. The low carbon content in ER308L reduces sensitized zones, helping components withstand thermal cycling and high pressures without failure.
Visible welds on handrails, facades, and custom fittings require clean visual finishes. Our silicon-controlled wires generate low spatter and minimal oxide scale, reducing post-weld grinding and polishing times.

Compliance, traceability, and secure packaging for international markets
Industrial supply managers and procurement officers require chemical verification and physical consistency. Wulian Yuxin maintains quality control measures at each step of production:
Our facility runs under ISO9001 quality management procedures. Our product lines meet CE and TÜV standards, confirming compliance with European pressure vessel rules. Each batch is shipped with EN 10204 3.1 material test certificates showing actual chemical compositions and tensile tests.
Stainless steel wire is susceptible to surface contaminants during sea transit. We pack our TIG rods in 5kg high-impact plastic tubes, which are vacuum-sealed with desiccant in outer cardboard master cases. This ensures filler metals arrive dry and free from oxidation.

How automation and environmental policies shape the future of welding consumables
Automated orbital TIG welding systems require consistent wire parameters. Our production focuses on controlled wire cast and pitch, helping ensure precise feeding during automated pipe welding processes.
Environmental rules have driven changes in surface treatment methods. Wulian Yuxin uses chemical-free mechanical descaling and ecological line washes, reducing acid pickling residues in our manufacturing footprint.
With digital tracing in global fabrication, we have integrated laser branding onto each rod. Laser etching of the alloy class at the wire tail helps prevent mixing of material types in structural workshops.

Technical answers to common questions about 304 TIG rods and procurement
The "L" in ER308L stands for "Low Carbon". An ER308L rod contains a maximum carbon content of 0.03%, whereas standard ER308 allows up to 0.08%. Using ER308L helps prevent chromium carbide precipitation during welding, preserving the corrosion resistance of 304 stainless steel without requiring post-weld heat treatments.
Wulian Yuxin has manufactured welding consumables since 2004. With a 15,000-square-meter facility, an annual capacity of 3,000 tons, and ISO9001/CE certifications, we control production from raw wire rod selection to packaging, offering competitive factory-direct pricing and consistent quality control.
We do not recommend using ER308L to weld 316-grade stainless steel. 316 stainless contains molybdenum (2-3%) for acid and chloride corrosion resistance. ER308L does not contain molybdenum, so welding 316 base metal with ER308L will dilute the weld bead and reduce corrosion resistance at the joint. Instead, ER316L filler metal should be used.
Our TIG rods undergo ultrasonic cleaning to remove drawing residues before packaging. They are then packed in moisture-resistant plastic tubes, vacuum-sealed in plastic film with desiccants, and packed in thick corrugated cartons. This helps prevent moisture and sea salt exposure during shipping.
For OEM orders featuring custom brands, logos, and packaging dimensions, our typical MOQ is 1 metric ton. This allows us to calibrate the printing equipment and production lines efficiently. Standard packaging orders can sometimes be accommodated in smaller quantities depending on current production schedules.
